An exciting opportunity has arisen to be of the Gateshead School Sport Partnership (GSSP) Team. The GSSP are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join their established team, to help with the co-ordination and delivery of a range of school focused services, events and projects.
GSSP are seeking to recruit a new full-time, School Sport Development Assistant to the team. The role is interesting and diverse, providing the opportunity to work in a range of fields. This extends to include physical education & school Sport, physical activity, the School Games, health & wellbeing and event management.
You will be a motivated and innovative team player with a degree level qualification in a relevant discipline and you will have experience of co-ordination and delivery of sports events and competitions with a proven track record of team working to achieve targets. You will have good interpersonal skills; be able to work independently and as part of a team and be positive, enthusiastic and proactive.
You will have experience of leading and co-ordinating groups of people and working with schools and young people.
You will have excellent organisational skills and be able to work effectively on a range of projects at one time and have good interpersonal skills; be able to communicate effectively; be creative and able to problem-solve and reflect and self-improve proactively.
You will be reliable, dedicated and hardworking; have experience of time management and be able to use a wide range of IT packages including Microsoft Office applications.
You will have to be able to meet the transport requirements of the post and be available to work early mornings, evenings and weekends as required.
You must have a current driving licence and access to a car or means to mobility support.
